The Hive Mind – Gravity, Magnetic Fields and Electricity

A few days ago I read an article written by Rupert Sheldrake and others about a “telephone telepathy” experiment involving people communicating via phone and email.

The experiment showed that some people can actually predict the identity of a caller or email sender with greater accuracy than simple statistics dictate. The study lacked a more controlled environment to be considered scientific evidence, but I kind of share the scientist’s belief that there is an interconnectedness of all minds within a social group. If anything, people in the same social group are more likely to spend more time thinking about the same topics than they do thinking about topics that are not interesting to that group.

A shared interest in the same topics is part of the glue that holds a social group together, including those in the workplace. That common interest is perhaps a stronger bond in our diverse corporate environment, as we are brought together around a common goal and often lack the other demographic backgrounds that typically unite social groups outside of the work environment.

Without going into the telepathic effects explored in Rupert’s experiment, it is not surprising that we sometimes find ourselves thinking about writing an e-mail to someone and are suddenly interrupted by a call from that same person via phone or online message. I am willing to go beyond the conclusion that such a phenomenon is the result of diligent statistics at work; offering a hypothesis to explain the (unverified) results observed by the British scientist and his team.

I postulate the theory of the “Hive Mind”, where individual or collective thought is transmitted over great distances, establishing a mechanism of communication with other people outside of currently known media; an effect that (then) common physics will be fully explained years from now. Furthermore, I hypothesize that such a magnetic field is also integral to the example of organizational realignment presented in my previous article on corporate hysteresis.

Our brains create an elaborate wave pattern while working on any technical challenge; it is somewhat expected that the average person activates the same brain regions while solving similar problems. These brain waves are generated by massive (for our body mass, anyway) electric currents traveling over thin wires, which must produce a coaxial magnetic field around those wires. Magnetism, electricity, and gravity are all related forces according to the Unified Theory for Electricity, Magnetism, and Gravity, which offers a more complete model for the physics underlying the “Hive Mind” hypothesis.

Magnetic and gravimetric fields travel unimaginable distances through a mechanism that has eluded the most brilliant scientific minds, and has been proven to reach people around the world. I could even entertain the idea of ​​other kinds of unknown fields besides these two, but I would do so at the risk of a weaker hypothesis. The effect on humans reached by these fields would depend largely on the size of the field and the sensitivity of the receptors to the field. Newtonian physics shows that the effect of the field decreases significantly with distance (as a measure of distance3), but does not take into account the recurring effects of intermediate brains that resonate and amplify the waves along the way.

Another interesting thought about the hive mind comes from the effects of mass in the laws of gravity. What is “mass” in the hive mind? The power of the transmitter, or the intensity of thought around a certain topic, is certainly a factor; but the resonant effects of the re-transmitter (other people’s brains) in the hive mind must neutralize and overcome the power of the original thought. In other words, the “mass” parameter in the intensity and reach of a particular line of thought is dictated by the number of people aligned with that line of thought.

The troubles of our daily lives and the power of our individual thoughts add a lot of background noise to the resonant waves of the Hive Mind; creating a somewhat healthy barrier to Borg-like conscience spilling out of the workplace. Either way, the Hive Mind hypothesis is worth thinking about, or a lot of it.
